The Black Soil Substrate is a further matured version of the Flake Soil Substrate, crafted using a unique recipe. Made exclusively from 100% hardwood material, its fermentation process is extended with the help of special additives, resulting in a rich dark brown to nearly black soil. Following fermentation, a 2-3 month resting and stabilization period ensures the substrate becomes resistant to harmful fungi and molds. This substrate is not only perfect for raising beetle larvae but also serves as an excellent breeding soil. Additionally, it acts as a primary food source for saproxylic, wood-decaying organisms, providing essential nutrients for their growth and development.
