General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
The General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") include the general contractual terms and conditions applicable to the use of the webshop operated by Szabó Tímea Anna EV (registered office: 43/b Pestújhelyi út, Budapest, 1158, tax number: 48316262-1-42), as the service provider ("Service Provider"). Please only use our services if you agree with and consider them binding on yourself in all respects. This document is not registered and is concluded solely in electronic form (not considered a written contract), without reference to a code of conduct.

1. Basic Provisions
1.1. Matters not regulated by this Regulation, as well as the interpretation of this Regulation, shall be governed by Hungarian law, in particular the Civil Code (Act V of 2013) and Act CVIII of 2001 on certain issues related to electronic commerce services and information society services. The mandatory provisions of the relevant regulations shall apply to the parties without any separate stipulation.
1.2.1 The developer and operator of this online Webshop (hereinafter referred to as the Webshop), as well as the seller of the products available in the Webshop, is: Szabó Tímea Anna EV
1.2.2 The Webshop is accessible on the Internet at www.beetleparadise.com. The current version of the General Terms and Conditions is available on the aforementioned website.
1.2.3 Browsing the Webshop, registration, or purchasing in the Webshop (any of these behaviors) constitutes a contract between the Operator and the user of the Webshop according to these GTC. By using the Webshop and making a purchase, you are obligated to accept the conditions described in these GTC. If you do not accept any provision of these GTC, you cannot make purchases in the Webshop.
1.2.4 The operator of the Webshop reserves the right to change the GTC, the descriptions, prices, and characteristics of the products offered in the Webshop. The changes become effective from the moment they appear on the Webshop. Any buyer who does not agree with the changes cannot continue their purchase. The changes do not affect already submitted and confirmed orders. We reserve the right to errors in the descriptions found on the product pages!
1.3.1 All copyrights to the content on www.beetleparadise.com are without spatial and temporal restrictions vested in the operator of the Webshop. It is prohibited to use the descriptions, images, and video content on the Webshop for any purpose other than the purchase on the Webshop, rework, or copy. Violation of the copyrights and other rights of the Webshop or breach of this agreement may result in legal proceedings against the infringing party. By using the Webshop, the user agrees that using the content for purposes other than those defined in this agreement constitutes an infringement, even if it would not be subject to copyright protection.
1.3.2 The Webshop is not responsible for any infringement committed by a third party against the buyer or user.
1.3.3 The appearance of the Webshop or any of its textual or media content on another website is possible only with written permission. The content on the appearing website cannot contain false information about the Webshop. Violation of the reputation of the Webshop may have legal consequences.
1.3.4 The Webshop uses cookies to ensure the unique identification of users; for other purposes, the Operator does not use these. Disabling cookies does not prevent the use of Webshop services.
2. Data Management Rules
2.1 The primary purpose of the Webshop is to protect users' personal data as much as possible. The Operator is obliged to comply with the current regulations on the protection of personal data and the disclosure of public data in the management of information provided in the Webshop, according to Act LXIII of 1992 on the protection of personal data and the public disclosure of data of public interest (Data Protection Act). It is important to note that these data management guidelines apply exclusively to the Webshop and cannot be applied to websites operated by third parties, even if these websites are directly accessible or accessible from the Webshop. Additional information on detailed data protection guidelines can be found in the Privacy menu.
2.2 The use of the Webshop and registration is entirely voluntary. By registering on the site, users consent to the Operator handling their provided personal and other data in accordance with these GTC. The Operator stores the data until the user requests its deletion, which is simultaneous with the termination of registration.
3. Scope of Purchasable Products and Services
3.1.1 Products available in the Web Store can only be purchased online through the purchasing interface of the Web Store. Orders cannot be accepted through other means such as email, phone, or Facebook.
3.1.2 The prices of products offered by the Web Store always include Value Added Tax (VAT), unless VAT is separately indicated. The general sales tax rate is 27%. The prices of products and services offered by the Web Store remain valid until withdrawal or modification. Product images and stock information provided by the Web Store are for informational purposes and may differ from reality. The Web Store is not responsible for any errors; in case of an error, the Web Store will notify the buyer and rectify it.
3.1.3 The gross prices of products in the Web Store do not include the cost of shipping, which is calculated based on weight during the order placement process. Shipping costs are specific to each order and may vary per order and chosen shipping partner.
3.1.4 The packaging fee for products is already included in the prices listed on the Web Store, with the exception of the winter shipping of live invertebrates. Depending on the weather, animals below 10°C can only be ordered with a Heat Pack (heating pad), and below 5°C, they can be ordered with a Heat Pack and a styrofoam box, the cost of which is not included in the packaging fee. These products are available in the online store, and it is the responsibility of the buyer to add them to the cart.
3.2 Each product and animal in the Web Store is accompanied by a detailed description that thoroughly characterizes the specific product or animal. The photos of the products and animals serve purely illustrative purposes and may differ from reality. If the information provided on the website is insufficient for the buyer, they can contact us through the provided contact details.
3.3.1 If a promotional price is introduced for any product, the Operator informs the buyer about the duration of the promotion.
3.3.2 The Operator informs the buyer about the expiration period of periodically issued coupons by the Web Store.
3.3.3 The price of some products appears with a quantity discount instead of a promotional price, which may vary depending on the stock. The right to change this is reserved in all cases.
4. Ordering Procedure
4.1.1 On the Web Store interface, live animals can be found under the "Invertebrates" menu. Under the "Our Products" menu, accessories related to animal keeping and breeding are available. The "Taxidermy" menu exclusively contains non-living specimens for collection, as indicated under each product (unprepared, prepared, cast in resin).
4.1.2 By clicking on the desired product in any section of the Web Store, you can select the quantity and/or type of the product. Clicking the "Add to Cart" button adds the product to your cart. When ready to finalize your order, clicking on the "cart" icon in the top menu allows you to view the contents of your cart. By clicking the "checkout" button, the website redirects you to the order form, where you can provide shipping and billing information. After proceeding, the system automatically calculates the best shipping methods. You can select the preferred payment method. Before submitting the order, you can review the information you provided and the products you intend to purchase. By accepting the Terms and Conditions, you can complete your order.
4.2.1 Data input errors can be corrected by returning to the data entry point before pressing the "Complete Order" button. After completing the order, you can notify us of any data entry errors in your order by emailing info@beetleparadise.com.
4.2.2 There is no possibility to modify an already placed order. If you wish to modify the content of your order, please contact us by every Friday during customer service hours. In this case, we can cancel your order, and you can place a new one.
4.3.1 Our online store provides options for online credit card payments, bank transfers, and payments through PayPal. Cash on delivery is not available!
4.3.2 We would like to draw your attention to the fact that when placing an order, you also assume the payment obligation. In the case of a bank transfer, the payment deadline is 5 business days. It is necessary to transfer the amount to the specified bank account within this time frame. Please note that failure to meet the payment deadline will result in exclusion, and we will not be able to accept any further orders from you in the future.
4.4.1 Our online store offers a variety of shipping methods. We aim to provide the fastest and most convenient shipping options.
4.4.2 Within Hungary, delivery to a Packeta Point and Z-box is possible. The delivery time is 1-5 working days from dispatch. The courier company sends an email notification to the buyer when the order is dispatched and when it arrives at the selected delivery point. The email also contains the code required to pick up the package.
4.4.3 Within Hungary, home delivery is provided by our GLS partner. The delivery time is 1-3 working days from dispatch. The courier company sends an email notification to the buyer the day before delivery, indicating that the delivery is scheduled for the next day. This shipping method is recommended for orders containing live animals!
4.4.4 International parcel delivery is handled by our UPS partner using the "UPS Standard" service. Within the EU, the delivery time is 2-5 working days. Delivery outside the EU takes 3-5 working days. Additionally, customs processing may extend the delivery time. The courier company sends an email notification to the buyer the day before delivery, indicating that the delivery is scheduled for the next day. This shipping method is recommended for orders containing live animals!
4.4.5 Delivery to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania is also possible to a Packeta Point and Z-box, the delivery time is 1-5 working days. The courier company sends an email notification to the buyer the day before delivery, indicating that the delivery is scheduled for the next day.
4.4.6 Parcel dispatch takes place only on Mondays. Orders placed by Saturday midnight are dispatched on the following Monday. Orders received on Sundays are dispatched on the Monday after the following week. We do not dispatch packages on days preceding public holidays and days off to avoid unnecessary storage at courier companies.
4.4.7 There is no option for personal pickup.
4.5 Upon finalizing an order on the Web Store interface, the buyer automatically receives a confirmation email. If the confirmation is not received, please notify us as soon as possible.
4.6 Pay special attention to providing accurate contact information when placing an order. We do not take responsibility for delays and issues related to delivery due to incomplete or inaccurate information.
5. Processing and Fulfillment of Orders
5.1 Order processing takes place every Sunday. Consequently, we can only process orders placed by Saturday midnight of that week and hand them over to courier services on Monday. Orders received on Sunday will be included in the weekly summary for the following week.
5.2 Our online store only includes products that are currently in stock. If, due to any error, our inventory is not up-to-date, and we cannot provide the ordered product, we will contact the buyer. In such cases, we will promptly initiate the refund process, no later than within 30 days.
6. Right of Withdrawal
6.1.1 Pursuant to the detailed regulations of Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.) on contracts between consumers and businesses, the User has the right to withdraw from the contract without justification within 14 days from the receipt of the ordered product. This does not applies to live animals!
6.1.2 The return of the ordered product without justification is possible if the product is returned in its original, undamaged packaging and remains unopened. The cost of return shipping is solely the responsibility of the buyer and will not be refunded. The price of the product will be refunded within 14 days from the date of return.
6.1.3 In the case of a defective or damaged product, the cost of return is borne by the buyer; however, in the case of a genuinely damaged or defective product, the Web Store is responsible for the return shipping cost. If the Web Store determines that the product was not damaged or defective, the cost of re-shipping will be charged by the Web Store.
6.1.4 The ordering and shipping of live animals are solely the responsibility of the buyer. Under no circumstances is a refund possible for the ordered live invertebrates.
6.1.5 Our online store is not responsible for package damage due to courier errors.
7. Guarantee, Warranty
7.1.1 The Seller's liability for warranty and guarantee is governed by Act IV of 1959 on the Civil Code (hereinafter: Civil Code) and Government Decree 151/2003 (IX. 22.) on the mandatory guarantee for certain durable consumer goods.
7.1.2 The Seller determines the warranty period for the offered goods variably based on the type of product, always in compliance with the applicable legal regulations.
8. Handling Complaints
8.1 We only accept complaints, quantity or quality objections, and incomplete order complaints in writing via email. We investigate these as soon as possible and notify the concerned party in writing. Our email address for filing complaints is: info@beetleparadise.com.
9. Miscellaneous Provisions
9.1 The Service Provider and the User expressly strive to settle their disputes amicably. If disputes between the two parties covered by this Regulation cannot be resolved amicably within 30 (thirty) calendar days, the parties stipulate the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Court for further legal proceedings.
